Let’s talk Products
So… you have had your baby shoot or family shoot with me and now you’re wondering what happens next? This used to be relatively straightforward and simple, but I have recently added an entire range of products to my collection and I wanted to talk you through the process in case it all seems a bit overwhelming!
Stage 1: Within 7-10 days of your shoot, I will send you through your images in a private and protected gallery. These will all be edited so you will be able to see all your photos at their best – I am not a photographer who will ask you to select your favourite photos which I will then edit. They will however be uploaded in a low resoltion until you have made your choice, and then I will re-upload them all again in high resolution.
This gallery will remain open for 7 days so you have time to deliberate. There are different packages available for you to purchase. Feel free to have a look here to remind yourself of the different packages available.
Stage 2: Once you have decided which package you would like, you then get the really exciting job of choosing your products. I cannot express sincerely enough how utterly beautiful all of these are. I have spent a long time over the past few months choosing the products that I think would suit my clients. I have samples of them all, so feel free to ask if you want to have a look (prior to the shoot). But I guarantee you will be thrilled with anything you buy, as they are all from an amazing lab and are the very best quality. Please feel free to have a look here to see the product range.
If you have anything specific in mind that is not listed, please please ask as I may well be able to order this for you (the lab sells hundreds of items and I cannot possibly list them all).
Stage 3: So you have decided on your package and now you have decided on your products and are happy to proceed. This is the fun part!
Your gallery will be held on a website called Pic-Time, so once you have viewed your gallery, you can proceed to the store. I have spent a long time setting up the gallery so it easy and straightforward to use and is actually an enjoyable process, rather than a “pull-your-hair-out-in-frustration” process. Each product has an easy drag and drop option so you can drag an drop the photos accordingly; you just need to make sure that you input the photo number accurately so that it gets relayed back to me accurately on your form (rather than us having a million conversations). The only issue is that the photo numbers do not seem to be visible once you’re in the store section of the gallery, so you will need to make a note of these numbers when you’re viewing the photos in the gallery’ format. They are easy to find – click on an image and hover over it and the number will pop up – in a format similar to 870C5536.
The beauty of this gallery format is that it will keep all your shoots on the same gallery – so you can mix and match shoot images into your products if you want to! This work beautifully if you are one of my clients who has had many shoots with me over the years!
Some of the products you choose will be payable through the website (as they are fulfilled by an external lab) and some will be referred back to me as I will fulfil the order (as my lab are not registered to that store). If they are referred back to me then I will invoice you once I have received your order.
If you are ordering frames, it may be a good idea to think about frame colour, mount colour and whether you would prefer standard glass or not-reflective acrylic before we discuss (just to save time). I will then process the order.
Stage 4: Once your order has been placed, the wait is usually about 10 working days before it gets to delivered. I will always get it delivered to my house so that I can check the items first. I will then get in touch with you and we can discuss collection or delivery.
And then? Well then you enjoy having the most beuatiful memories in your home forever more and watch the compliments rolling in!
