Hilliers Photography Info
The Only Hilliers Photographer
Hi and welcome to the page of Caroline Jenkins Photographer – the only official photographer at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens. As the only Hilliers photographer, it is my absolute pleasure to welcome you and explain all how about how my Hilliers photoshoots work. I have been photographing families at Hilliers for the past 4 years now and absolutely love working with them. Hopefully this page should explain everything, but please do feel free to contact me should you have any further questions.
I am in an extremely priviledged position to be able to offer exclusive Hilliers photoshoots in conjunction with Hilliers themselves. Many photographers shoot at Hilliers, understandably, due to the vastness, the beauty and the seasonal colours, but I am the only photographer able to offer special offers, such as inclusive entrance fees.
Hilliers photoshoots only happen on 4 pre-determined weekends a year, normally once per season.
When you book you will choose your photo appointment time. The entrance pass is for the whole day so you don’t have to come just in time for your shoot – you are welcome to come earlier to make a day of it.
I will meet you at Reception at your allotted time and together we will walk, have fun and play. I tend to go for a route that takes in as many of the seasonal flowers as possible, maybe ending up at the park or treehouse if there is time. If, however, you have certain places that you know you want your shoot to happen at, please just let me know.
What happens after a Hilliers Photoshoot?
With 10 days of your shoot I will email you a private and secure link to your gallery. You will have the opportunity to browse and select your 5 digital downloads, after which I will release a download PIN. If you are unable to choose, then the entire download album can be bought for £100. I am also running special offers for Hilliers customers on a select range of my products.

Caroline was absolutely amazing for our photo shoot with our 1.5 year old at Hillier gardens. She is so lovely and friendly, she made us feel totally at ease and captured all my daughter’s different expressions and personality. I know we’ll treasure the photos forever, thank you Caroline!

How do we book and pay?
When the next date has been confirmed, I will attach a link to this page which will take you to the Hilliers booking system, through which you will be able to choose your slot, book and pay.
What shall we wear?
I always advise my families that the most important thing in family shoots is that everybody feels comfortable. There is no point getting the children to wear their best clothes if they feel really awkward, because this will be written all over their faces.
If you really want to make the most from your shoot though, I always suggest that a similar theme of colours works brilliantly to tie you all together. I am happy to send you links to my Pinterest boards once you have booked, and hopefully this will help inspire you with colours and styling. Just contact me before the shoot as I do not get notification of who has booked until I turn up on the day!
Something that I strongly advise against however, is anybody wearing any clothes with motiffs or patterns on, as all this does is draw attention away from all of the beautiful faces!
What do we do if it is raining?
I will keep an eye on the forecast in the days leading up to the shoot. If it looks to be a wash out, I will contact you to rearrange. If it looks to be just drizzle then we will try to go ahead and dodge the rain!
My kids love the park at Hilliers, will we have time to visit there during our shoot?
I love capturing the kids in their ‘natural environment’ at the park and on the treehouse. All I would say is, in my experience, is that once the kids are there, it can be very difficult to tear them away again. For this reason, if you wanted to include the park areas, we will make a point of finishing our shoot there so you can stay and play as long as you want!
