The next dog charity photoshoot will be:

Dog Charity Photoshoot

Hi and welcome to my dog charity photroshoot page. I am an ouytdoor family and dog photographer based in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire.

If you have been on my other pages, you can probably gather from my images and my shoots on offer, that I am a huge dog-lover. I have to stop and say hi to all dogs I meet when out walking my own dog, I am the person to cry at dog rescue stories and don’t get me started on Marley and Me!

Anyway, as we were coming out of lockdown in 2020, I read somewhere about the struggles that dog charities were experiencing – less fundraising and fewer donations meant they were really struggling to look after all the dogs in their care.

This is when I decided that I wanted to do my bit to help. I was desperate to work again but unable to shoot more than any 1 person at once, so I decided to run some charity dog shoots whereby I would take photos of dogs for their owners, and would donate the money to charity.

These were so popular that I made an incredible £270 which I was thrilled to donate to Dogs Trust.

Ince then I have run several other dog charity photoshoots as I love being able to donate back to a special charity that does so much!

How does a Dog Charity Photoshoot work?

Normally I do a weeks-worth of mornings (8-10am) in different locations. I have found this to work effectively as everybody takes their dogs out first thing in the morning anyway, and by doing 5 mornings, I can vary the locations so can see more dogs! If anybody is interested then I ask them to tell me roughly what time they will be in what location and on what date so that I know how busy it is likely to be and how many cocktail sausges I need to bring to reward the dogs.

I normally allow 10 minutes per dog in which I will shoot whilst they pose / chase a ball / run etc. The cost of this is £10 which goes direct to Dogs Trust.

At the end, I need to ensure that I have your email address so that I can invoice you for your shoot and send you your digital gallery.

You will receive your gallery after about a week and will be able to select 1x image to digitally download and keep forever. All images will have been edited and uploaded in full resolution so will be of a very good quality.

If you are unable to select just one image then you are welcome to buy the full gallery for £15. This does not go to Dogs Trust – this will pay for my time both on the shoot and the editing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do we need to bring anything?

Not apart from the normal things you would take on your walk. I will bring a bag of dog biscuits or cocktail sausages with me, as I have found in the past that the dogs will do anything for me once they have discovered my sausage stash! This is entirely at your discretion though!

What do we do if the weather looks miserable?

I will always try and postpone our shoot if the weather is gross, as not only will it look miserable in the photos, but I will end up lying in far too much mud!

Can I have a couple of photos taken with my dog?

Of course! They are your babies and I don’t blame you in the slightest for wanting to have a couple of with them.

Do I need to book a specific time slot with you?

No need as I don’t want to cause you unecessary stress and hassle on your dog walk. So long as you let me know what date and location you are intending to come, that would be great!

How will I know where to find you?

Don’t worry – I always describe my position within one location in ridiculous detail so there’s no wya of not being able to find me!

Please feel free to contact me and ask any questions or let me know which shoot you would like to attend – I would love to hear from you!
